On Saturday Sept. 24, 2011 me and a couple friends I had met during training went to see a FC Seoul host Daejeon Citizen for Ex-pat night. Besides making new friends, I ran into a couple of friends from another school near Seoul as well as running into a fellow Gaucho. What are the odds!?

chuseok.
For Chuseok, Korean thankgiving, I went up to Seoul for the weekend and hung out with new and old friends. On Sunday, I took friends Rogelio and Ginju to Din Tai Fung, my favorite chinese restaurant. In the evening I met up with Grace, a friend I had made at Santa Barbara City College when I tutored math. Grace introduced me to some of her friends and together we had some Indian food, and checked out some of the city before ending the night with ice cream at a cafe. On Monday me and Rogelio joined a friend, Subi, and went to Gyeongbokgong Palace where they had festivities. There was some traditional drumming and dancing, bboying, and beatboxing. I was part of the show too. The bboy crew picked me out of the audience and had me freestyle in front of 300+ people. On Tuesday I met up with a Korean friend, Sam, I had made at UC Santa Barbara and had some delicious Italian food.

chungdahm.
I work for one of the most competitive English learning institutes in Korea called ChungDahm Learning. Here are some of my kids. They range from ages 10 to 14. Some of them are bright wonderful students and some of them are lousy troublemakers that just want to have fun. I don't blame them.
